Emily has been writing since childhood, clacking out her first novel (never to be resurrected) on a typewriter in the 80s and scribbling characters in sketchbooks. Now her office is overflowing with notebooks and art supplies, and typewriters and books make up the better part of her home décor.

Mom to kids, dogs, and an axolotl, Emily holds a degree in English and Comparative Literature from Western University in Canada. She is the owner of So You Want to Write?, a platform where authors can find coaching and resources, has interned at a literary agency, and has professional editing experience.

When Emily is not writing, reading, or playing with her dogs, she loves creating through visual art or cosplay, or hitting the gym for a PoundFit class or weightlifting session.

Currently, Emily has one novel in progress and one in the query trenches. She is also the author of The Heartbox, which was published by Quantum Fairytales.
